Supreme Child Theme

    Hi there,
    Sorry if this is not in the right place.

    I want to amend the Supreme Child Theme (I want to add the fix to the functions.php file to change the copyright info as per another thread).

    Should I make a child theme of Supreme?

    I am worried about an update overwriting changes.
    Would you recommend I make my own child theme?

    I tried to add a child theme (of the child theme!), but I get this error:

    The “supreme-directory” theme is not a valid parent theme.

    I’m not sure of the best way to edit Supreme so that my changes aren’t overwritten if it is updated?

    Hi Faye,

    Since we provide updates directly to our Supreme Directory Child Theme. I’d suggest that you use the code snippet plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/ for all your custom code.
