    Hi Guys,

    1) I can’t seem to eliminate the map icon and word supreme from the header…

    2) my header image was created at the recomended size 1600 X 85, however, part
    of it is displayed off the left side of the screen, most of the logo is cutoff…

    I’v played with the header padding and a number of the other fields, to no avail!!

    Including sign on credentials in the private post.

    What’s the solution?

    Thanx

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for your post. I’ll try to answer your questions accordingly.

    1. Insert the custom CSS code below into GD > Design > Scripts > Custom Style CSS

    .site-logo-wrap {
       visibility:hidden!important;
    }

    2. Please check the attached of how it looks like on my end. What device are you testing with?

    Hi Joe,

    You don’t have listings to display on the map. As for the logo, you should use the built-in logo feature in Appearance > Customize > Header as shown in the attached. Then you can use custom CSS to apply dark background color on the header. If you want to try this out, remove the custom CSS code I’ve provided earlier.

    Ok, moving on, I just recreated the banner and moved the logo/Greenbax further to the right,
    and that worked perfectly for now.

    How do I control the backround colors of the buttons, for instance the “Write a Review” button
    currently it some shade of red, how do I change that to – lets say some shade of green 🙂

    I have tried changing everything I could change in the Customize, Body, Text Colors

    Thanx

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for your reply and I’m glad that you sorted it out yourself. To change the colors of the buttons or backgrounds, you can achieve this custom CSS code. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/

    Thanks!

    OK, I get part of that process. I can change the color, but does not seem to save the change.

    Do not see a save step in the customizing_your_style or the inspect screen

    Thanx

    Save custom CSS at GD – Design – Scripts – Custom CSS

    Hi Guys,

    I found this search bar on one of geo-directories showcase sites, Lucky We Live Here. (see images)

    Is this custom work, HTML in a widget, or is there information available somewhere in the documentation
    to accomplish this ??

    Thanx

    Joe

    The search bar on the home page of the Supreme Directory is ‘special’ because it is included in the theme itself, however, it is possible to do a great deal with Custom CSS. Here’s is our doc about how to add custom styles to your GD site:
