    Hi.

After a few years of using GDF theme I’ve decided to try Supreme.

On the Supreme Directory overview it mentions that for the Listings, Search and Author Pages “You can add extra widgets only in the Top and Bottom widgets areas.”

That’s fine, however, on Appearance>Widgets I don’t seem to have bottom widget areas Search and Author pages.

Also, the GD Author Top section does not show on the author page (i.e. mywebsite.co.uk/author/authorname) but shows fine on the author listing dashboard pages (e.g. mywebsite.co.uk/author/authorname/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place).

Could you advise how I can get these top/bottom widget sections to be available to use on Appearance>Widgets, and also to sort out the issue with the GD Author Top section not appearing correctly on the author page too? (will post access details shortly).

    Thanks.

This is where you activate widget areas:
GD > Design > Search tab or Author tab.

I’ll get someone to look at the author page.

    Thanks

    Hello,

MISSING-FOOTER-MENU.png – It is a Supreme feature to display fixed full window page for author page

    see https://wpgeo.directory/supreme-directory/author/admin/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place

We have added a task to add author page widget areas, but, again, not all themes contain all the GD areas.

Mark, you need to use text widgets instead of GD Advertise widgets.
GD Advertise widgets only show on the homepage, not sure why but that is the case.
Just swap them and they will show on detail and author pages.

    Guys,

I think a few things are bit mixed up here, so I just want to get some clarity.

My original query related to the “GD Author Top section” widget area, which was missing on the Author/Authorname page when using Supreme theme (and this query also applies to the “GD Author Bottom section” widget area). So, for the purposes of clarity, does Alex’s comment “We have added a task to add author page widget areas” confirm this issue of missing GD Author Top/Bottom widget areas on the author/authorname page is being addressed?

The second Supreme theme query about the missing Footer Menu (i.e. a “Footer Links” menu defined in Appearance>Menus), which perhaps has been confused with the footer widget areas (however, it is useful to know how to get these to appear on the author page – thanks Guust) . The Footer Menu is not appearing across the whole site, not just the author page. I would hope that the Footer Menu should be showing when using Supreme…. Appreciate your thoughts on this.

Footer does not show on Listings and Search pages of Supreme to maximize the map area.
    Shows on all other pages.

As to the top and bottom widget areas on the author page for Supreme, we have added that indeed as a task to add those.
But V2 may be out earlier, which will mean you will be able to add the widget areas yourself.

    Hopefully that clarifies it? Thanks

    Hi Mark,

not all themes have all widget areas. We have added a task to create those areas for Supreme in the future, for a future version of the theme.
