Sydney UTC offset calculated wrong

    I have the same issue as ticket #495279

    My WP Settings timezone was correctly set to Sydney. But when the listings were added and opening hours were specified, it has calculated a Timezone Offset of +9.

    This means that when viewing a business, it often doesn’t get the open/closed values correct.

    Questions:
    * why didn’t it identity that Sydney has an offset of UTC+10 when creating the listing?
    * Is there somewhere else in the Geodirectory settings I should be specifying the time zone?
    * how do I now update the 300+ listings to have a value of UTC+10?
    * if I change the WP Settings TimeZone to be UTC+10, will it adjust automatically for daylight savings in October?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Hello,

    Are you using a geocoding key in the second Google maps API key field?
    Does the key have Timezone API access and no http referrer restrictions?

    Hi Brian,

    The offset for BH should always be the standard and not consider DST (daylight savings time) at all.

    It does look to me like it should be +10 and not +9.
    The way it works is it uses the WP timezone but there seems to be a bug there, we will look into it. When the map is moved it should also adjust the BH offset, which is correct.

    You can update listings by exporting and then re-importing to update.
