I noticed that there are tags in the CPT tables.

Are these used? Or will they be used in the future?

The reason I ask is that I’m about to add a ton of tags via scripts and queries to allow for alternate URL human friendly URL possibilities to drill down on specific service offerings and I’m wondering if I should include them in both the CPT tables and the traditional taxonomy & terms.

I can see benefits of only searching the CPT’s as the number of records would be less making the searches more efficient – but the current system uses the traditional terms and taxonomies to get it’s results.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

If you want it to work correctly you should be adding them to both.

it will be easier to query them from the CPT table but WordPress will need them to be in both.

    Thanks

Thank you Paolo. Is the order significant? Or does it not matter?

Sorry for the late reply, yesterday I was travelling.

    Yes the order doesn’t matter.

    Thanks
