    Hi

    Does anyone know if the VAT/Tax plugin has now being released? I don’t have an active membership at the moment so cant see that forum, and am reluctant to sign up again only to find out the plugin is not yet released?

    Any info much appreciated

    hi,

    not yet, it’s being tested and all bugs are being ironed out right now. I believe next week should be the good one for the release.

    Hi Ben,

    We will be testing thing this week internally, the lead developer of invoicing wa sick today so i didn’t get a chance to catch up and figure out where exactly we are. I have been reviewing the code every few days and it is practically done, we just need to test and then release as beta, it’s looking very good 🙂

    Hi Ben,

    I don’t think we ever said it since xmass but our plans totally changed since then, we were going to retrofit the current payments manager to apply tax but now we have moved payments and invoicing to a new plugin which allows global taxation rules and proper invoicing this new system will also allow for payments of anything not just listings so developers can integrate to sell for example advertising space or anything really.

    I can’t give a release date as there are lots of things that can effect it (for example the lead dev being ill this week), at the very least i will try and get a demo set up on our servers this week to allow you to look over thing and make suggestions.

    We started testing before the release of 1.6.6 and we are still testing, now we had few issues with the last 2 release and developers are working on those, which slowed down testing.

    Today we will release 1.6.8 of the core plugin and hopefully after that we will be able to focus back on releasing the new payment solution.
