    Hi, I’m using the modern child theme and i want to modify some text and appearance of the theme.

    I have a few questions:

    1. Can i Change wording to “Add Free Listing” instead of ‘Add Listing’
    2. Remove the words “Add” – http://prntscr.com/95wh9j
    3. Set listing excerpt to maximum of 120 characters – http://prntscr.com/95wjqa

    Thanks for the tutorial.. very detailed.

    Anyway, about the description, i was talking about the ‘category listing section’

    – i did set the description limit to 50, but that applies in the homepage listings only.

    3. You were asking about the listings on the Listing pages only, your screenshots only show that type of page.
    If you want to change the excerpt length on the Location pages, then you need to set that in the Popular Post widgets that you added to those pages.

    We cannot advise on the “read more” link without your URL and WP admin details. You can post these in a private reply.

    Because you had set
    GD > Design > listings > Description word limit
    to 50 words, the “read more” does not show if the description is less than those 50 words.
    I changed it to 5 so the “read more” link shows for listings with more than 5 words.
