    Hi,

I’m struggling a bit with the titles and meta for the search pages. I added a screenshot. I would like to have the category displayed as well in the title, and as you can see in the meta title nothing is properly displayed.

This is the url from the screenshot
    https://getdirections.asia/search/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&spost_category%5B%5D=4&s=+&snear=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=&city=pa-tong

    The other pages are fine

    Thank you,
    Tony

    Try the last option in

GD – Settings – General – Search – Display searched parameters with title?

Thanks Alex, one more question if that’s ok.

In the search bar is a dropdown with the categories and then there is the search field. When I use the search field to look for ‘restaurants’ and I select in the Near field ‘Phuket’, I will get a title like Restaurants in Phuket, Thailand” on the search results page. I don’t get the ‘Search results for’ in the front of the title.

But if I use the categories dropdown and select ‘restaurants’ and type ‘Phuket’ in the Near field, then the title looks like Search results for in Phuket, Thailand. In this case the category is not used in the title.

Any suggestions on how to fix this, so the result in both cases is ‘Search results for restaurants in Phuket, Thailand’

The same happens with the Meta Title.

    Thank you,
    Tony

Ah, no, that is not captured in the title, unfortunately this setting is not currently available.

I have taken this up as a suggestion and will share it with our development team to see whether we can work on this in the near future.

Please feel free to let us know if you need help with anything else.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I can’t seem to read the reply as it is set to private. I would love to try it though. So if you could share it again that would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,

I added the snippets to the functions.php file
The order doesn’t seem to be changing and it doesn’t seem to add the category that I choose to the title of the pages, so instead of displaying ‘Restaurants in Phuket’ it displays ‘Places in Phuket’.

I’m going to revert this back as I’m not entirely sure about this.

    Thank you anyway, much appreciated.
