    Oh my goodness, please help!
I’ve spent two days importing listings.
I’ve got 200 files, each with anywhere from 30 – 1000 roofing contractors.
1 by 1 I formated the files into a csv based on the downloaded template and uploaded the entries.
    Everything went will
I was up to just over 4000 entries.
Then I uploaded Eugene-FortLauderdale (csv file enclosed)
The upload stopped on row 1090 and sat there forever
I went to the front end of the site Error 500 Internal Server
I stopped the upload and tried to access the admin area, Error 500 Internal Server
    What!?!?!?
I deactivated GeoDirectory – everything came up fine
I moved all geodirectory plugins into a plug-temp directory, activated GeoDirectory on it’s own. Crash 500
I went into the database and removed all entries into the custom post type roofing contractors, which is where I was importing listings in to.
    No Joy, still a crash.
I deleted and re-installed GEODirectory. Crash when activated 500 Internal Server
So now I can’t install GEO onto this site at all. 2 days of importing listings and it looks like the importer, for some reason, has crashed my entire ability to use Geo Directory.
    Any Ideas?

    Update. Deactivated EVERYTHING!
    Changed template to Twenty Fifteen
ONLY activated GEO Directory – Crash 500 Internal Server
What the heck did the importer do!?!

Okay. Figured it out. Memory allocation. Changed it in php.ini and all is well. Whew. Thanks. Bye.

    Hello Derek
Would you mind sharing the URL of your directory? It sounds pretty impressive. I am looking to launch mine next week and would love to see other that work. Thanks

    Derek,

Just to remind you that you’ve got a live csv file of almost 1,500 contractors above, I know how long it takes to get a database list as tidy as that, You might want to remove or hide the list/post 🙂
