Transfer from staging site

    OK. I am finally at the point to merge staging site with real site. 🙂 Not sure how to do this part. I do have a few hundred real clients with real info that I do not want to lose. Obviously, I will back up my info.
    Getting back to the transfer, do I upgrade my real site to V2 then copy and paste all pages and other info I have created on the staging site into my real site? Is it that simple or will I be cursing this? Will client data automatically work with V2?

    In short, you do not merge but over-write if you have updated on a staging site. Your staging site should be exactly the same as the live site, except that V1 has been replaced with V2.

    Or, you backup, make sure you know how to restore, and then upgrade the live site. If that is done, then review the live site, and make the same fixes as you did on the staging site.
