Translating and understanding permalinks and slugs

    Concerning this post I still have the problem with the links generated by UsersWP:

    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/listings
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/listings/
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/listings/events
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/listings/events/
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/listings/kursorte
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/listings/kursorte/
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/reviews
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/reviews/
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/reviews/events
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/reviews/events/
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/reviews/kursorte
    mysite.de/lehrer/autorname/reviews/kursorte/

    As you see the UsersWP tabs listings and reviews are in English. I really need a solution to translate these slugs. Please help me with this.

    Hi Marius,

    We have made changes in the core UsersWP plugin regarding strings which will be available in next update of the plugin as well. You will need to regenerate the .po file so that new strings will be available for translation.

    Also, UsersWP tabs listings and reviews slugs are not translatable as it requires some custom work to make it possible.

    Hi Patrik and thank you for your help.

    OK, after the next update I’ll have to update the PO-file.

    Patrik, please consider this as a very, very important feature request or as a huge bug. Like this your plugin is not appropriate for other languages than English. Think about links and Google and SEO. UsersWP is generating a lot of English links for each user depending on the number of CPTs and activated tabs…

    I do not know what to do, should I wait until UsersWP generates proper links and after that to set hundreds of 301-redirects or should I search for another plugin for user management? What do you think about that? Or maybe do you know another plugin for editing the slugs of a site?

    Please do not take it personally as criticism, I do appreciate all your plugin work, it is just that I’m a little bit unpleasant surprised and I do not know how to handle the situation. Actually I want to put the site online these days…

    Hi Patrik,

    another question to clarify is why he have different language files on translate.wordpress.org, – if the last version of the plugins is available just local through WP Easy Updates or if the last version of the plugins is also available through wordpress.org.

    Please give me more info about the update process and I’ll ask for checking the update process on translate.wordpress.org too.
