Translation does not work

    Hi there,

    I’m having trouble with the translation. The phrase “Leave a Review” should be translated into German (See review field under https://gruenes-muensterland.de/anbieter/united-states/pennsylvania/philadelphia/attractions/please-touch-museum/ at the bottom of the page). In the geodirectory-en_DE.po in the folder /wp-content/languages/plugins the translation is correct. But it still remains in English. This also affects some other missing translations elsewhere.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Bernward, if your site is set to German, then your language file should be called
    geodirectory-de_DE.po
    and you also should have a
    geodirectory-de_DE.mo file in the
    …/wp-content/languages/plugins/
    folder.

    Hi Guust,

    yes, that is correct. There the translation is also contained in this file (screenshot). But in the frontend there is still the english version (screenshot). What could be the reason for this?
    I use the Listima Theme. Could that be the reason?

    Is the name of your files
    geodirectory-de_DE.mo
    or
    geodirectory-en_DE.mo ?

    The theme should not be the reason but check the Listimia language file.

    en_DE does not exist.
    It must be de_DE.
    Please check your file names.

    The file seems to already exist (screenshot). Probably you mean another folder or file?

    The theme should not be the reason but check the Listimia language file.

    I checked the Listimia language file and it was not created yet.
    I created it and it is at
    /wp-content/languages/themes/listimia-de_DE.po

    Please check
