Translation files deleted after update

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    After making an update all my translation files in each plugin are gone.
    How can that be and where should i place those files that they won’t be deleted each time I mak an update.

    Translation files have to be placed in wp-content/languages.
