Hi, everytime I update Supreme Directory my translation files get lost since in order to get them to work I need to paste them in the parent theme. If I follow the instructions on:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-themes/
it doesn’t take the translation, I need to paste it in the parent theme folder.

Is there any other location where I can paste the .mo file in order to avoid being wiped while updating?. I have tried several ones with no luck.

    Thanks

    Hi Eduardo,

Since Supreme Directory itself is a child theme, it will be replaced everytime you update the theme. A workaround for this would be to reinsert the “translation” every time you update it.

Kor, wouldn’t it be possible to have wordpress to look for a path like wp-content/languages/themes like twentyfifteen or others do so that it doesn’t get overwritten or change the .mo file name to another more specific one?

    Thanks

    Hi Eduardo,

I have foxed that in DS.

Can you post your login details? I’ll apply the fix.

    Thanks

    HI Giri,

I deleted the .mo file from WP-content/themes/supreme_directory and the translation is no longer working so I asume the problem persists.

    Thanks,
    Eduardo

    Hi Edurado

Your files should be placed in path like this

    wp-content/languages/directory-starter/de_DE.mo
    wp-content/languages/supreme-directory/de_DE.mo

Let me know if thats the structure you use.

    thanks

    Hi Giri,

    It is located in wp-content/languages/themes/es_ES.mo

Please let me know if I need to modify it.

    Thanks

    Hi Giri,

Yes, it worked in the languages/supreme-directory path.

    Thanks
