Hello Team Geodirectory
I tied a lot to get some translation problems solved. In many areas this has been successful, in some not.
I do not receive a translation of the country names, although I have changed these in the German .po file. In the input mask of google maps and in the url the English country name is always output.
There are a few other positions in the listings where the ad is still displayed in English. I did screenshots for that.

A lot of the changes can be made in the custom fields too, but if you have a lot of CPTs it may be easier to make them in the language files.
Please update all your language files and have another go, and then we can check it out if there are any issues left.
Thanks
November 2, 2017 at 2:51 pm #403801Hello Guust,
I did the changes. Several changes worked, but the main problems are still there. Especially the contry problem. A new problem appeared in the Plugin “Claim Liting”. In the .po I cant find Business Owner anymore to translate it. It already worked before.
Can you check it again?
Thanks verry much!
November 3, 2017 at 1:26 pm #403981You have not translated the Claim Listings and put it in the correct location: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/
I do not understand why it is not working, or even where your country slugs come from. It looks like you changed something in the database itself.
I’ll get a developer to have a closer look too.
Thanks

November 3, 2017 at 3:06 pm #404002Hi Kira and Guust,
thank you verry much. I translated the strings from geodirectory geodirclaim (wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirclaim-de_DE.po). With geodirectory, there is a problem. I have 2 languages in the english string (german and english – see attached screenshot).
Within every geodirectory plugin, I have a translation folder (wp-content/plugins/geodir_claim_listing/geodir-claim-languages). Thats were I did the translations and thats where I find the en_US.po to update the string.
Thanks for your Support. I realy appreciate.

1. So it would make sense to translate it back to english for the string and than do the translation in the .po file?
Yes, you can also translate those strings in English via .po file translation.
2. Country Translations
I did the same for Morocco. And it worked as well for the URL.
https://www.travelmondy.com/place/marokko/marrakesch/cat-staedt/marrakesch-marokko-orientalisch/
I noticed one more thing: The country slug for the URL of the original country is also replaced in the country translation (See attached image). Is that correct?Yes, it is correct.
Country Url: displays current country slug.
Country After Translation: displays the country after translation (user default language)
Country Url After Translation: displays the country slug after translation (user default language)Country After Translation & Country Url After Translation displays the strings based on current active language (user default language).
If you change your current language from Edit User > Language > English columns Country After Translation & Country Url After Translation will display Morocco & morocco respectivily.Let us know.
Thanks,
