Translations overwritten

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

According to http://docs.wpgeodirectory.com/translate-core/ translations will not be overwritten by plugin updates.

However, with each update i´m losing my translated .po files and i have to upload them again.

What am I doing wrong?

are you placing the po/mo files in /wp-content/languages/ ?

Amolin, are you moving your MO files to /wp-content/languages/plugins?

For example they should be in
wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirlocation-en_AU.mo [simplest]
or
wp-content/languages/plugins/geodir_location_manager/geodirlocation-en_AU.mo

Ok, that was the problem.I had them inside languages folder of each plugin:

Example: wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-languages/geodirectory-es_ES.mo

I´ll move them to wp-content/languages/plugins/
