Hi all,
I was not able to traslate in italian the Frontend descrption of one of the fields those appear on “add new Host and Guest listing form” (Host and Guest is a Custom Post Type)
as you can see at the following link or in the attachement file.
http://curiocity.travel/it/aggiungi-elemento/?listing_type=gd_hostandguestThe name of the Fieldset is Tag Keywords (see the second attachment please), and it is temporary for admin use only, so that you can see it in the “add new Host and Guest listing form” only when you log in as Admin.
please follow this link to set it
http://curiocity.travel/wp-admin/admin.php?page=geodirectory&tab=gd_hostandguest_fields_settings&subtab=custom_fields&listing_type=gd_hostandguestI tried to use WPML to traslate the Frontend descrption of the field without success.
Please, can you help me?
thanks in advance, Giacomo

January 17, 2017 at 6:42 pm #344624Custom fields shouldn’t be translated via WPML.
There is a doc explaining how to translate them: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-custom-fields/
Please follow that and report if not working.
Thanks

January 18, 2017 at 11:48 am #345070Hi Giacomo,
We have added feature to translate custom fields via WPML string translation. This feature will be available in next release of GeoDirectory.
In next version, running GeoDirectory > GD Tools > Load custom fields translation will load all custom fields strings for translation under WPML > String Translation.
Thanks,
KiranJanuary 18, 2017 at 9:41 pm #345323Hi Guys, thank you to every body for your support.
I read the documents and I did exactly what i read at the following links,
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-custom-fields/
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/updating-your-language-files/but it is still not working.
I have updated the files geodirectory-it_IT.po and geodirectory-it_IT.mo.
I found the sentence in the geodirectory-it_IT.po , by using POEDIT.but the following sentence is always in English
HOW WE USE TAG KEYWORDS ( WE RECOMMEND WRITING THE NEIGHBORHOOD OR THE AREA OF THE CITY WHERE THE ACCOMMODATION IS LOCATED IN TAG KEYWORDS. E.G. CITY CENTER, CATHEDRAL AREA )
Please help me
Thanks GiacomoJanuary 19, 2017 at 12:51 pm #345660Check now after clearing browser cache.
