    Hello,
I am unable to activate the plugin and receive the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in …/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/helper_functions.php on line 831

I noticed another thread with this same error and they recommended to upgrade to v5.3 of PHP. My server is currently running v5.4.43

Since posting this, I have updated to PHP 5.6 and PHP 7 and still see the same error when installing the plugin

Make sure to restart the server after upgrading to 5.6 or 7.

If that’s been done, please provide a url, admin and FTP credentials and we will have a look.

    Thanks

Yes, the server was restarted. How do I provide the credentials securely? Thanks!

    Hi Dipe,

if you have the exact same problem you need to upgrade your server’s php version, possibly to +5.6

    Did you do that?

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    Hi Dipe,

Your site is running with PHP v5.2.17. You should update it to PHP v5.6 or PHP 7.0.
