Trouble getting featured images with BB Themer

    I created a themer layout for the GD Details page for places. I want to use the first featured image as the background of a row. When I select post featured image, it doesn’t work. Do you know what the proper meta would be to get the first single featured image?

    No, I’m not looking for a shortcode. I’m looking for a post custom field I can use with Beaver Builder Themer to connect to a module.

    Hi Stephanie,

    We use shortcodes to call all GD modules. With BB Themer, you should have an option for adding sidebars into the layout. Then, you can insert GD widgets into the sidebars to display it. Could you give it a try?

    I don’t think you understand what I’m asking for. I’m not looking to add GD functionality to the page. I am trying to fix a Beaver Builder feature that GD is breaking.

    In BB, with Beaver Builder Themer, you can set the values of attributes to match fields, attributes, properties, meta, etc. from the page. For example, I can set the background image of a row to be the Post Featured Image. Therefore, when you view a post, the background image will be the featured image of that page. See attached screenshot for the normal setting for this.

    This functionality isn’t working with GD because you must be modifying the expected contents of the post featured image. I have the option to manually tell Beaver Builder what field to use. I want to know what field I need to reference to get the featured image.

    For example, I’m using the ‘geodir_city’ field to insert the city name into a line of text with Beaver Builder. What is the equivalent for the featured image?

    Can I get help on this? It’s very important to the design of our site. I can’t finish converting from GD1 to GD2 until I figure this out.

    GD uses custom tables for images so we have created the GD Post Images element to use for display of the images.

    I will take this up as a suggestion to share with the developers for future versions.

    Stephanie did you find the code to use for the feature image to work correctly?
