Hi – I am having trouble with the GD Location page.

    1) the page title is not displaying the location
    2) the image for the location is not displaying in the header

    Can you help please?

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for your post. I’ve just inspected your Website and I noticed that you have no listings. Could you check and see if you’ve assigned categories on the listings as explained here? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/categories/

    There are posts in London.

Also – I got a message in Moz for the Sheffield page which gets a significant amount of search traffic (tracked with a keyword) that it is not indexed. I don’t know why as I have completed the SEO steps for locations. I am using Yoast SEO: Premium, Yoast SEO: Local, Yoast SEO: WooCommerce

Make sure to adjust the settings for Yoast if you are using that for the title of the page.

If you want to use GD for Titles and Meta on GD Pages, then enable the GD Override of Yoast in the Titles and Metas settings.

    RE: SEO Issue

What would you recommend Alex? Your setup looks great and tailored to a directory. It would be helpful to have some additional documentation to provide recommendations on how best to setup GD with Yoast.

I would recommend you use GD settings for Titles and Metas if Yoast isn’t doing what you want.

Yoast changes a lot, but, really, setup requires clicking through all the settings they offer for page Titles and Metas and adding all the “Add Value” information you can to those options.

Thank you. I will stick with your setup for SEO.

Do you know how to fix the other two issues? Richard

    1. The page title is displaying
    2. There is an image for the header. Location images need further integration to be displayed as the featured image for a particular theme or page.
