    Hello,

Is there any way I can modify the query so that featured listings do not show at the top of my listings?

    Thanks,
    Jonah

Change the Sort By in the Popular Post widget.

Hi Guust, thanks for the reply. This is not for the widget, this is for all listing – regular, category, search, etc. where featured posts always show as sticky at the top of the list…

Not sure you can, except for not allowing featured listings.
Why have featured listings if you don’t feature them?

But let’s ask Stiofan if it is the code you want to change.

Try going into the Places (or specific CPT setting) where the custom fields are (Geodirectory > Places Settings > Sorting) and see if Featured is there and if it is default or not.

    cheers

As Brian said, try going into place settings and sorting, for example maybe add addded date and set as default?

Adding a sort by added date or title works but then this issue occurs: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/sorting-by-random-distance/ – seems like something is not right here…
