Unable to set default location

    Hi, I’m doing the installation of GD and am at the “Google Maps API KEY not set, click here to set one OR use Open Street Maps instead.”

    As I’m planning on using OSM, I did not set the Google Maps API key.

    Then I clicked the “Please click here to set a default location, this will make the plugin work properly.”

    While trying to set the default location, I got the “Request Denied” message as shown. Please advise on how to proceed. I’ll also provide my login details in the next private message in case you need to login and check things out. Thanks.

    Hi Hui Ling Tan,

    From the screenshot, it shows that you are using the Google Maps, just switch it OSM only and see if it works.

    If you want to set the default location through Google Maps API, you MUST add a Google Maps API key.
    Otherwise as Kor said, 1st you need to select OSM as API used in Design > Map and afterwards select the default location.

    Oh I see. I didn’t know I have set Google Maps instead of OSM. Thank you so much Kor and Paolo!
