Understanding Featured guidelines

    I have downloaded about 10 demo locations and setup only 1 test listing that configured as being Featured.

    However, If I show the listing page and sort by Featured my test listing shows up last, yet the demo listings are only marked as new and None of them are listed
    as Featured.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    I guess what would help, would be an explanation of how the search actually works.

    What takes priority? I would assume FEATURED locations are first, then by what?

    Name, date of listing, distance, key words,etc.

    I have downloaded 30 sample locations, then tried the search

    For example, I cleared my cache, did a sort by full members, the only location I created, that is a featured location, doesn’t even show on the first page,
    it actually shows up as the very last item.

    Featured doesn’t take priority on Searches.

    If I’m searching for a place near something for example, it will return places in order of distance regardless of featured or not.

    Featured are only displayed on top on category pages, which is the case in the page Guust linked in the private message.

    I guess I misunderstood a question I asked the Geotheme forum last year.
    I’ve been telling members they want to upgrade to the Featured category so they would be shown first in search results. My mistake.
