Understanding navigation

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    I do not want users to add Accommodation, only admin can do that.
    So in Geodirectory > Design > Navigation I tried to add Accommodation to the list of listings in the menu, but not in the Add Listing menu.

    See attached screenshots for the setting I used, and the result.
    Somehow, the Accommodation is not listed in the listings menu. Why not?

    On another note, why are the listings all singular? Listing, Attraction, Event instead of plural like Listings, Attractions and Events.
