Update listings as map moves

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi – I’ve seen a few old & closed posts on this topic but checking if there has there been any progress on adding core functionality or a plugin so the listings update as visitors navigate around the map.

    Since Google Maps, Airbnb & others do this it is more expected these days.

    For big directories (for example worldwide) it would be a very nice feature to automatically update listings on the left when a visitor zooms in to view an individual country or area.

    AirBnB and Google don’t use WordPress to run their sites. The problem is that such a feature will only work with servers with a lot of processing power, or if you have a small number of listings. I’ll get the developers to comment further if there is anything to add. Thanks

    This is a feature we will be working on but there are a few others ahead of it, i would guess it will be in core in the next 8 weeks.

    great, thanks for the update Stiofan. This will definitely set GD apart from the other WP listing plugins.
