Is it possible to have listing updated by anyone? Or is it just the one who adds the listing can update and modify it?
March 3, 2017 at 11:25 am #365074Hi there,
I’d like to clarify that listings can only be customized by the listing owner and the Website admin.
Thanks!
March 3, 2017 at 11:33 am #365076Thank you.
But is there a chance that anyone, not just the listing owner or website admin can update the listings?
March 3, 2017 at 11:51 am #365079Hi there,
Not at all unless your Website has been hacked? If you’re concern, try contacting your hosting provider.
Thanks!
March 3, 2017 at 12:10 pm #365084Not really, i’m just thinking that maybe it has the capability to update the listings by anyone nonetheless it’s all good.
On another note, why is it that when a user is logged in. They are seeing the “dashboard like” icon on the upper left. (see my screenshot – with red circle)
It that supposed to be like that?
March 3, 2017 at 12:26 pm #365093Hi there,
It’s an option in GD that allows you to display that “admin bar”. To switch it “Off”, navigate to GD > General > Allow user to see wp-admin area .
Thanks!
March 3, 2017 at 2:43 pm #365149It’s been set to “No” ever since but i’m still seeing it. Any idea?
March 3, 2017 at 6:54 pm #365204Hi there,
Please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.
March 3, 2017 at 7:06 pm #365208Do you have buddypress installed? If yes there are plugins available that will help you with this. https://wordpress.org/plugins/hide-admin-bar/
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks
March 4, 2017 at 9:13 am #365306I don’t use buddypress.
March 4, 2017 at 9:16 am #365307This reply has been marked as private.March 4, 2017 at 7:20 pm #365374I see the toolbar, the plugin I mentioned is what you need anyway, that theme doesn’t remove the toolbar like ours do…
Just FYI, W3 Total Cache is not compatible. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/?post_type=post&s=cache&cat=0
Thanks
March 6, 2017 at 6:17 am #365534I’ve already installed the hide admin bar. Do i need to do anything? coz i don’t see any setting for it after activating the plugin?
Also, i enabled the “Anyone can register” in Settings > General. Is that correct? because every time i uncheck it the registration link will be gone. All i want is to give an option to the user on whether to use their social media account or manually register on the site.
March 6, 2017 at 11:31 am #365581Hi there,
Admin bar issue most likely caused by your theme. Try switching the theme. If it solves the problem, then contact your theme author.
As for “Anyone can register”, yes you need to enable that to allow registrations.
Check Membership section in this documentation.
https://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_General_ScreenYou can use CSS to hide “New User? Register Now” link
Thanks
March 6, 2017 at 2:32 pm #365646Actually i’m not planning to hide the “New user? Register Now”. I wanted to give the user an option to register manually and/or using their social media.
Thank you guys.. you’ve been very helpful.
