I uploaded a csv libreoffice file of listings I wanted to update tags.

I downloaded listings from wpgeo. Changed the tags column. Saved in libreoffice, uploaded using function “Update listing if post with post_id already exists.”.
It did not change the tags.
Ran twice to make sure it was done correctly.

Just wanted to add to discussion.

There was a problem with wordpress 4.7.1 and 4.7.2 that is causing people to not be able to upload.

I downloaded the recommended temporary fix, which is the disable MIME check plugin, and can upload new listings no problem.

I wonder if this is problem is somehow connected to that.

    Hi Bob,

that is not the problem, by default Tags will accept maximum 40 characters. You’ll need to install the Payment manager if you want to increase that limit.

Let us know how it goes,

    thanks

When I upload new listings, without the payment manager plugin installed, it does not give me an error for going over 40 characters.

I now installed the payment manager plugin. I set character limit to 300, more than needed. I did upload again.

It did not work. The tags still did not update.

    Also have a general question.
When doing updates, do i need to include all columns and data, or can I just include the listing id# and the column I want to update?

    Hi,

you must always use the full CSV file.

I asked to the developers to check why it is not updating correctly.

    They’ll let us know asap.

    Thanks

    Hi Bob,

I have checked and i can’t recreate any issue with tag update in import listing. Tested with insert/update listing by importing csv.

Can you explain more on which particular listing you get tag not updated? If you still have problem please provide us FTP details also, so we can look into more.

    Thanks,
    Kiran
