Updates which don't vanish once updated

    Is there a way of making amendments to the theme which don’t disappear when the theme updates?

    I had someone change the sign up form for me, and since its been updated, all of the changes have gone back to how the signup for was originally

    I’m sure you probably have an instruction for this?
