I have just renewed my membership for 6 months (was on 4 months before and let that expire). I now try to update the plugins within my wordpress dashboard but it’s not letting me.

I read about deactivating the plugins first but when I reactivate them there’s no prompt to ask me to add the new licence key and then I seem to be on the same (old) plugin version.

Can you please help get me all up to date?

    Thank you

Not sure if I’ve done the right thing here by making my previous post private.

Could someone please get back to me on my original question.

    Thanks

    Hi Celia,

The different lengths of membership have different licence keys, all you should ahve ot do is deactivate the old licences and add then new ones.

Let me know if you have any problems.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Thanks for getting back but I have tried that (deactivating) but it just says to contact support. See attached image.

I presume if I deactivate, I won’t lose any settings I’ve already created using these plugins will I? If so, is it possible to keep my existing licence keys and you extend their use at your end to cover my new 6 months subscription?

I have blanked the licences now, you should be able to add the new ones now.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

I am however, finding updating the Geodirectory plugin is still not working.

    See image for error message.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

that’s a server problem, related to file permissions. You should make your wp-content folder writable (permission 755) recursively.

You can ask to your hosting support to do that for you. (normally it’s done by default)

    Thanks

    hi,

I’m not sure cPanel makes all folder within wp-content have the same permission recursively.

Please provide FTP credentials and we will have a look. Please ask read our support policy:
