I was using GD V1 without major problems. A child theme should save all modifications made and an “upgrade” should not effect the layout. However, after updating to the V2 version, nothing is the same any more. Just a few issues:
My Setup Wizard Sidebars is showing: “GD Top (Auto detected)” not a “Primary Sidebar” as per your directions?
Detail page showing the default location(set by us) not an actual listing’s address, on the sidebar no business hours, website address, nothing..etc.
Also, there was a “merge address” option in the V1. I don’t see that in the V2. How do i remove wrong address? Numerous people submitting Wrong-Non existing address listings.

Can’t get rid of this warning : “There are duplicate slugs found for some locations. Go to GoeDirectory > Status > Tools & run a tool Fix location duplicate slugs to fix duplicate slugs.” –
have done that many, many times- no change, same problem.
and there is many more issues…I have been searching for answers… frustrating…

    Hi zyze8,

Thanks for your post. Not all customization from v1 is compatible with v2. But anyway, please share your Website WP admin access here in private reply and I’ll check on the “warning”

    Please check

I added all the fields to the details page sidebar.

Locations can be merged in the ‘cities’ subtab

    GD – Settings – Locations – Cities

Select more than one then from the bulk edit menu choose merge.

Many of your locations are incomplete. I recommend resetting them with complete info manually, as they cannot be fixed automatically. The error is referring to that lack of data.

More setup options are covered in the getting started guide here:
