Upgrade problem due to Events addon, I no longer use

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Long ago I tried the events addon, but I decided not to use it.
    Now it still appears on the screen and is says I should activate it. But I do not want it.
    What can I do?
    I would like my database to be upgraded..

    While still in V1:
    * Activate the Events add-on.
    * Make sure you have no events, activate the Events addon to check.
    Delete all events, delete them from the trash too.
    * Go to GD > General > Uninstall Settings > GeoDirectory Events > Remove all data when deleted? > YES
    * Go to Plugins, and de-activate and then delete the Events addon.

    Now you should be ready to upgrade.

    Hi, This sounds logical, and I followed your steps, but no result.
    On another testsite, where I had nog used the events manager addon and had no events at all, and installed the events addon, I also cannot get rid of the message.

    You can try it and will see the same.

    Installed and activated Events, Location Manager and Pricing Manager using your FTP, converted and then deleted Events.

    Do you mean that you installed the latest version of the events manager addon?
    Than I can not replicate it..

    Or buy it and cancel it shortly afterwards and get the money back?
