Upon adding listings – not consistently forcing payment options

First time using this plugin — we are using Invoices for payment processing with the PayPal Basic.

Upon adding a listing (all listings will be a paid option) after user inputs the required listing info – the page after the “submit listing” button should resolve to the PayPal basic page (see attached)

Currently, if logged in (while testing as an admin) it seems to render properly. If NOT logged in – it sometimes resolves to Login Page and sometimes resolves to a “Checkout your cart is empty”.

We found the issue with Caching on WPengine and have disabled object caching –

I feel confident its a setting or combination of settings causing this irregular activity.
