User registration

    Hi,

    I would like to know if there is a way to send a confirmation e-mail to an user when it registers because the current registration method isn’t so safe ’cause an user can register itself with a false e-mail.

    I’m using Buddypress on my website but with GD registration. I don’t want to use buddypress registration form because it requires the username twice, and it’s weird.

    There is another way I can do that?

    Have a look at our UsersWP plugin: https://userswp.io/
    It has a number of options as to how you want to approve new registrations.

    Buddypress should not be asking a username twice. It asks a username and a name to publicly display, but not two usernames.
    A bit like your username here is bonfisa, but your display name is Isabella Bonfitto.
