User role

    By default, when user registers on our site the role is on “Subscriber”. Is there a possibility to assign multiple roles? e.g Subscriber and Author

    Please advise thanks!

    You can only have one default WP user role. Any author is automatically a subscriber too.
    GD does not rely on user roles, they can be subscriber or author.

    Is it safe if we give users ‘Author’ role instead of subscriber? Let us know

    That depends if you give them back end access or not.
    Authors can add posts from the backend if y give them access.
