    If they register from that page, their username will be their email.

    If you use Buddypress, you are best of to use the buddypress registration and login.

    Or just change the label from email to username via translation file…

    Hello,

    I too am using Buddypress (and Buddypress Integration plugin) and am having the same issue: the login field requests ‘Email Address’ not ‘Username’ – entering the correct email address results in login failure (username logs in ok)

    I believe I have the site set to Buddypress login already, as suggested above.

    I haven’t mastered translation files yet so am not ready to look at that route.

    Hi Paolo,

    this appears to be fixed now (either username or email address can be used to log in) – I don’t recall a plugin update – has it just been fixed on my site?
