    When a user tries to login, it’s just redirecting them back to the login page again.

    The log in button is in the menu bar under the “My Account” section.

    What I saw could have been a cache issue.

    For example, immediately after login I could still see that the My Account menu showed ‘login’ but after changing page the menu swapped out and I saw the menu for logged in users, with the logout link.

    I don’t see a cache plugin on the site, try contacting your host about the site speed and for information about how the cache works. If you can, specifically, exclude the login and registration pages from the cache.
