    My directory finally went live but there appears to be a possible bug, or wrong setting. I have had several people now report of being unable to enter anything in the fields. I cannot seem to replicate the same issues however.
    Any suggestions?

    From user:

    For example when I click on the button to upload a logo file, nothing happens, when I drag and drop the logo into the field area it shows the logo huge but has no exit option and only way out is pressing back, which removes the file.

    When I try to enter tags there is a drop down list with some odd ones like “America” , “Tag1” etc, you cannot free type.

    When I try to enter address, we are based in Scotland and this does not appear on the counties list, outwith that it only offers me the city option of Stratford Upon Avon, regardless of County selected.

    Incidentally, this particular user had tried across 3 different browsers

    You have this CSS turning text white on the form

    .js .tmce-active .wp-editor-area {
        color: #fff;
    }

    You have an error from Google maps that you need an API key

    util.js:224 Google Maps JavaScript API warning: NoApiKeys https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/#easy

    Autoptimize has cached errors on the page preventing other JS from functioning. Try disabling that and it may fix all your problems.

    Thanks for taking a thorough look Alex.

    These things are all a bit strange. That css code isn’t something i’ve added, certainly not in custom css. And it only seems to work on a pc. I have tried on my mac on 3 different browsers and can’t replicate the issue. Would just adding that css into customcss with a different color fix this issue or do I need to overwrite at source?

    Also the maps, working fine on mac, but not pc. This was all running absolutely fine previously.

    Taking a look at auto-optimize now

    My developer cannot replicate these things either Alex. Also he says that auto-optimize is set not to work for logged in users, so should auto-optimize settings every matter here?

    Alex, can you please send a screenshot of what you see, particularly with regards the css.

    Also can you confirm what operating system and browser you are seeing this with?

    I have Vikas looking at this and he cannot replicate the problems either.

    Just did a quick test and everything appears to be working fine.

    Tested with a Chrome-based browser on a Windows 10 Laptop.

    You should ask to the user having problems what kind of PC and browser he’s using. He might have JS disabled and that would explain everything.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    I popped round my dads earlier and tried on his PC. Had all the problems that have been mentioned above on multiple browsers. I will check with him if he has disabled JS, but I highly doubt he has.

    The person who reported the above said they tested in multiple browsers.

    Alex, in reference to Paolo’s message. Did you have js disabled when viewing my site? I highly doubt it?

    What kind of computer are we talking about? Version of Windows would be indicative.

    It sounds strange that it works for everyone here and nobody of your users…

    Paolo, did you read Alex’s first reply to this thread? I got the impression that he was able to replicate the issue?

    As to the systems being used. I popped round to my parents house earlier and was able to replicate the issue on his computer. He is running windows 10 and I tried with forefox, chrome, and internet explorer. All showed the same issues
