userswp – create account does not work

    Hi There

    I have everything set up as per instructions. Login works, forgot passwords etc however the create account does not work.

    I have created the registration form.
    Under pages in userswp I have the Register Page as Register and the account page as account.

    If you try to create an account from the login in the menu it takes you to the register page.

    If you try to create an account it just goes nowhere.

    The registration page has the registration shortcode on it.

    Must be something simple I am missing to grateful for some help.

    Hi,

    It looks like you have tried to activated/deactivated a plugin multiple time and it caused issues with the multiple fields added for registration form in form builder which is the reason for fields are not displayed in the registration form on page. To solve this you have to uninstall the plugin and install again with removing all the existing data stored by plugin. I have enabled setting UsersWP->Uninstall->Remove Data on Uninstall? which will delete all the data on plugin deletion.

    Let me know if this helps. You have to exclude the register page from the caching also if the registration page doesn’t work properly.

    Hi Patrik

    No, I have not activated/deactivated a plugin so not sure why you think that.

    However if I uninstall UsersWP and all the data then I am going to loose ALL settings and all instances in my website. In effect starting all over again!

    Is this really the only option as its pretty drastic and from your comment you dont seem sure that it will solve the problem.

    What actually is the problem with it.

    Hi Patrik

    This is an update.

    I have deleted users wp taking account of all the settings and reinstalled.

    The register is now working.
