Using Different Places

    HI – Can you point me in the right direction for how the Custom Post Types can work for me.

    I have two directories. Companies can be in both directories, but I don’t want them to have to fill in their data twice. Is there a way when entering their data for them to be able to add their details to both directories, with the common information, such as address, company etc, not needing to be entered twice.

    I have looked through the docs, but can’t find this information.

    Hi Jane,

    Thanks for your post. Sorry, I’m not so sure if I get this correctly. You can’t have two directories on a Website. You can only use GD or the 3rd party directory plugin on your Website. Please clarify.

    Hello,

    It sounds like you should have only one CPT, and then use categories to differentiate them.

    It is irregular to add the same listing to two different CPTs.
