that is currently not possible without modifying core files.
If you take 1 day to learn some css though, you could make the login page much better than that without plugins…
    Thx

Thanks, I would love to do that but life gets in the way. I will just have to pay someone until I do.

Maybe off topic, but if there was a way for forum members to tag the thread as
‘resolved’, it would probably free up some of your valuable time so your team doesn’t have to.

@nasc If it’s just a nice login you want for the moment, why not use https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login/
“It creates a page to use in place of wp-login.php, using a page template from your theme. Also includes a widget for sidebar login.”

Thanks, but does this work with the with the GD theme, replacing their dual
form with login on one side and registration on the other side? Or combine them?

I found two very good plugins Erident and A5 Custom login page, but unless I’m doing something wrong, they only work with the wp-admin login.

Is this one different? That would be great if it worked.

I’m having trouble- At the moment, after the user registers, it does not require an email confirmation, it logs them in instantly then directs them to add listing page which does not include the proper packages. Figured this thread was the closest to matching my topic.

    Hi Zeb,

I replied to the topic you opened about the registration problem. Let’s continue there to keep the discussion on topic.

As far as email confirmation on registration, wordpress by default doesn’t provide that option. It only sends the password to the user and requires to login. We avoided the 2 step to make registration faster and incentivate listing submissions. If I remember correctly, wordpress multisite adds email confirmation to the registration process. But I’m positive wordpress single site doesn’t.

There are various plugins that will add the email confirmation feature to your website, but I’m not 100% sure they will work out of the box with GD:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=wordpress+confirmation+email+upon+registration

Would you please see if any of them would work as desired? If not we will look into an integration with the most popular of them.

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

Allowing a “user” to register and then log them in without a password is a recipe for spam listings gone wild!

Please make it an option for those of us that don’t want to be continually cleaning out garbage from the draft folder to enforce new registrations to login with a password after registering.

    Hi,

I’ll ask VIkas to look into it.

    Thx
