V1 – V2 – Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: nothing to repeat

    I have updated my website to V2 but now get the permalink error message:

    Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 2 in /home4/w8u7c5b9/hyogojapan.com/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 223

    I have tried following the support for this error message, deactivating plugins, changing the Permalinks, re-saving and switching back but the error continues.

    I appreciate any help.
