My site: https://vetsnear.me does not work now. I have many visitors going to my site on a regular basis. I have a marketing campaign right now driving trafic to the site. I have automatic updates set for the site, which automatically updated the core app, which then made me update everything. I still can’t get the site to just perform at the same level it did under V1.
Primary use case: New User looking for a Veterinarian arrives at the site, the geo targeted map shows them where they are, and the nearest veterinarian to their physical location. This does not work. And, now I have ads all over the main page, that I don’t know how to manage/shrink/put to the side. I can’t get a listing of the locations on the same page as the map, so users can view both the icon on the map and the listing of the geotargeted locations on the home page. Help!
I’ll figure out how to make the rest of the site work if you can get me through this! I’m even open to changing themes if necessary. I just need it to work!

April 4, 2019 at 10:19 pm #478412Hi Rob, automatic updates are not recommended.
Whoop is not compatible with V2, but Whoop V2 is being worked on but will not be for a few weeks because it is a complex theme.
I suggest you switch to Directory Starter [make sure to use V2] or any other theme [but not GDframework or Whoop], and then run the Wizard:

On that same page is a list of the veterinarians near them that are on the map (top 10 or so).
April 5, 2019 at 2:48 pm #478609Click on “Change Location” > Select “Near my location”
ThanksApril 5, 2019 at 2:50 pm #478612V1 does this automatically. How do I get that to happen automatically on V2?
April 5, 2019 at 6:41 pm #478696V2 does not have an automatic popup for the browser geolocation request.
What some members have done is place the “Near Me” button at the top of the front page, make it bigger, and instruct users to click it.

April 5, 2019 at 7:10 pm #478700This feature is the primary reason I decided to use GeoDirectory. None of the other systems had that feature.
April 5, 2019 at 11:49 pm #478756I have flagged your request for the developers. We have a task to consider a lot of new options for location manager and more and we will start work on them soon.
