Imported over 13,000 links and ever since, the website has been loading like its on dial up modem.
and constantly keep getting timeout errors when administering the site and saving and editing, etc.

I will make changes and update then get timeout errors, doesn’t matter what part of the site I administer… page back and refresh page and changes are sometimes made and not made.
This all happened after I populated the database, been little over a week.

    Hi Larry,

Thanks for your post. Are you using “Marker Cluster” on your map? https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/marker-cluster/ . You’ll definitely need if you’re trying to display thousands of listings on a map. It would take ages to load if you have that many.

    Thanks!

    Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/server-requirements/
It sounds very much like your server is not powerful enough.
    Thanks

I am not loading maps, I host with Godaddy and had all 13,000+ listings on this server under different directory plugin.

Not my server, Not a Maps Issue as I do not load a Map on my site with tons of listing icons.

Now its possible it still trying to figureout all those map icons in the background even though not displaying the Map. (Good point)

I just got this Fatal Error on the GDBooster when attempting to Publish a New Woocommerce Product.

I submit this as it may have something to do with the errors/timeouts on the site.
    attached below.

    This might explain some things.

    Managed WordPress Hosting
All managed WordPress hosting uses caching systems that are not compatible with GD’s geolocation features.
Managed WordPress hosting is good only for blogs or static websites.

The only caching system that works with GD is GD Booster or WP Super Cache, and all other caching needs to be disabled. (this will no longer be valid starting from V2 of GeoDirectory that will be compatible with all caching systems)

So as I understand it, when I go to V2, I should be fine with current Godaddy Caching?
    Please confirm.

I think that is correct, but I’ll get a developer to have a look at your question.
Can you link to the specifications of your hosting, like a link to the hosting package you have?

Also add your URL and WP admin details in a private reply, just in case he wants to check anything.

    Thanks

    Hi Larry,

The User/Pass seems wrong, the only thing i would try changing is the setting under GD>Multilocations>Disable term auto count

Managed WP hosting is all about caching and seems to fall down with anything calculation based like markers or search and iterations.

GDv2 would certainly help with being caching compatible but might not solve your problems entirely.

I also see you have a few JS errors on the site coming from some other plugins, you might want to take a look at those.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Thank you Stiofan.. I will pursue Server change with Godaddy.

There are a few issues with User Registration.

The Term auto count is disabled

Godaddy themselves disabled WP Super Cache plugin on my site and had sent out a notice stating that Caching Plugins are not allowed.

Speaking of User/Pass. the Theme asks for Email in the login/register “Username” field, so I had users who were registering with an Email address instead of a user name, I since changed it in Theme.

Still waiting on WCMP to reply on other issue.

    Thank you for the support

I have 200k records loaded and initially like what you described. I changed to cloud server with 4GB ram and use WP Super Cache free version. Cache these data almost reaching 4GB, with WP Super Cache, it improves loading speed a lot and without further time out issue. WP super cache pro version will handle js better, I have’t bought it yet but going to try it because free version did significant improvement in loading time. I timed my site loading time using these 2 free service: https://gtmetrix.com and https://www.webpagetest.org Results will tell you what caused slow loading, the you can fix them accordingly. WP Super Cache seems targeting all these issues well. worth trying the free one and test the loading time before and after.
