Hi again, Vlad here from theBeautyAdviser.com.

I have terrible performance results for my website speed. My website is curently hoasted on a shared hosting server. You told me before I have to change this to a dedicated server. I want to do it this week.

My provider can take care of this for me, but I want to ask you, is there anything I have to do regarding GD before or after doing this transition?

    Thank you,
    Vlad

    Hi Vlad,

Thanks for your post. Besides a backup which is important when migrating, make sure that you meet the server requirements here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/server-requirements/ . And here is an article for your reference https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-wordpress-to-a-new-host-or-server-with-no-downtime/

Hello guys, Vlad here from theBeautyAdviser.com

Hope you and your beloved ones are safe in these times.

Regarding the topic I opened in this ticket in February, I just finished all the migration process in order to improve my website speed performance.

Just as you suggested, I now have a dedicated hosting server with 1 CPU and 2GB RAM. No more shared hosting.

Still, 72 hours after the migration is complete, I have similar performance results as before, with shared hosting. See screenshots “performance before” and “performance now”.

I thought website performance & speed will considerabily be improved after this migration.

Can you please help me with this one? What to do now? Better equipment, same (or worse) results.

    I highly appreciate; thank you!

Moving server won’t fix other issues, those unreleted to server speed. Page speed reporting sites give you ample feedback about the types of improvements you can make, but these are general recommendations for any website.

You will need cache and image optimization, for sure. You can check into those to get started.

    Hi Alex,

    thank you for your reply!

I understand what you say now; but shouldn’t the performance and the speed improve since I now have a server with bigger resources?

That’s what I understood from what you said in another ticket in October – see screenshot attached.
