what settings need to be in place to restrict who can add listings

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    I just had someone login somehow and they were able to create a regular post – not a listing.

    I have the setting GD> Settings> General > restrict wp admin > author…does it need to say subscriber too as per this article?

    Hi julieo,

    Thanks for your post. A subscriber doesn’t have an access to create a post. It will only allow submitting listings. Could you share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that I could check on it?

    Yes, add subscriber there, too. That is the default setting.

    I had it set to just author so it allowed them to create a post. I fixed it. thanks
