When can users renew their listing?

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    In the settings for ‘Prices and Payments’ I’m looking at the notification emails. In listing expiration email I see this sentence:

    If you want to renew, Please login to your member area of our site and renew it as soon as it expire.

    I’m not sure what that means. Does that mean the user can renew their listing right now when they get the email (in my case, 10 days before it expires), or do they have to wait until the exact day that it expires?
