White Screen on login

    HI GUys
    I went to upload some sheets today and I’m getting a white screen on the login page, not taking me to the login.

    I tried resetting the password, but takes me to a white password reset page.

    No theme or plugin changes, just uploading sheets.
    Any thoughts?

    What do you mean with “sheets”? Did you upload some listings using a CSV upload?
    Does the site still work for visitors?

    Can we have URL, WP admin details and FTP if we need to have a look for you?

    It turned out to be hostgator having to update the php version.
    Yes, I meant csv.

    HI,

    There was a change to some of the page templates a few versions back, i guess you have not updated the templates in our child theme with the new code, this would cause this problem.

    AH, that makes sense. How can I stay abrest of that? I’m still learning about custom templates and all the scary stuff how can I prevent that from happening?

    Just keep an eye on change logs and when you do an update do some checks, i usually do a full backup and then run through each page type to check things.

    Hi Guys,

    I’m getting a white screen when I register a new account. When I go back into WordPress > Users it appears that the new account has been registered. It also hasn’t sent an email through with any password attached.

    Can you point me in the right direction as I’m on a very steep learning curve here.
