Why so Granular? does the city really have to be stipulated?

    So when I’m creating a place or event, why do I have to attach it to a city?

    If I have an event thats in a field nowhere near a city how do I list that without making it look like its in a city?

    I understand this tool has been built to primarily lists lots of different businesses/events within a city but what about the users who would only like to list 100 places or events within a country or even a region?

    shouldn’t this plugin be called wpcitydirectory instead of GEO?

    You can use GD for one city only, or one or more regions, or one or more countries.
    Every place in the world has an address in the format street address, city, region, country. So even a field is in some locality.
    Without assigning a location, the place or event cannot be added to the maps.
    GD is not really primarily built for a one city site only, it can accommodate any type of location you like, from village to the world.

    I hope I have made things a bit clearer?
