widget location filter

    Hi,
    I cannot get my widgets to reliably show the listings closest to the searched location on the “search page”. Assume it will be the same on all the location pages.

    Just searched Geelong schools but got music listings in widget from the ACT when I know there are several in the Melbourne area.

    Have I set anything wrong or is this how it is supposed to work with the location filter activated?

    I haven’t set the search range for “near” since I like to have it set wide but I still would like to display the closest listings to any searched area.

    Please advise.

    Hi Lise, currently the location filter works there only if you would activate location suggestions in the advanced search settings, and if visitor select Geelong from the suggestion.
    For the moment that widget is filtering by A-Z, that is why it shows listings far away.

    If you can post URL and WP admin details and your FTP details in a private reply, one of the developers will have a look to see if we can change that to a distance search rather than an A-Z sort.
