WP All Import

    Hello,
    we want to create new places with a CSV or XML file. We would like to import place information like the address or the price. We want to use WP All Import for this, because we need to update certain data (e.g. price) regularly.
    I wonder what we need for this. Is your addon “WP All Import” enough or do we have to buy the “Import Pro Package” from WP All Import?
    Unfortunately I can’t find out much about the functionality of your addon “WP All Import”.

    Pro is not needed.
    You should try our built in importer first. You will need to prepare your data in that format, and then the WP All Import addon will help you map columns.

    I have now imported the CSV list with your built in importer.
    But I’m not allowed to define a Post-Id for this in advance.
    Therefore I am now facing another challenge.
    Let me briefly explain what I have in mind:
    We have received a CSV list from an affiliate partner which contains a large number of accommodations (with data like address, longitude & latitude, price and so on). Since this list is updated regularly (especially the price), we would also like to update the data contained on our website regularly.
    My plan was to use the IDs from the list of our affiliate partner to assign all accommodations and update them regularly. Since it is not possible to assign a Post-ID to each location when importing, this does not work.
    Is there a possibility to use the ID of our affiliate partner?
    Or do you have a better suggestion for our project?

    You can add a custom field like ‘partner_id’.

    It isn’t possible to force the WP Post ID with out importer or WP All Import.

    I am also facing this. hardly documented and what to do with the geodirectory all import plugin. What is the extra price for and what are we getting as opposed to just using the free import version?

    WP All Import has extensive documentation. The GeoDirectory addon allows you to use WP All Import to import data to GD custom fields. If you need documentation for that you can see the WP All Import site.
